Biography
David William Brown, husband of Jean Margaret Young Brown, donated Jean Brown's papers on the William Watts Sherman house to the university's Special Collections. The Browns were married in 1956. Jean Brown passed away in 2011. David Brown, a Connecticut-born Ph.D. student in agricultural economics, whose work in outreach education and international technical aid programs led the Brown family to lives lived overseas for more than three decades. Jean and David Brown moved to Newport in 1993.
